Home Based Care during Covid times

In response to the growing concern of overcrowding of Covid-19 patients in hospitals, the Ministry of Health in Kenya decided to pilot Home Based Care for people with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection presenting with mild symptoms.

While guidelines were given for caregivers who have primarily no healthcare training, the obvious champions for this type of care were the already healthcare-adept Community Health Workers. Therefore, modules were developed for their m-learning on how to go about the home care. Below, listen to one of the lessons they have available on Leap for their training.
